Everette Brown is a 6′ 4″ 250 pound defensive end out of Florida State with the potential to move to an outside linebacker position. In his junior year, Brown recorded 37 tackles, 13 sacks, and three forced fumbles. Eagles linebackers coach Bill Shuey was in attendance during Brown’s pro day performance.
Brown ranks 5th on Mel Kiper’s list of defensive ends. Although there is consideration for Brown playing some linebacker in the NFL, I don’t see that as a major possibility if he lands in Philadelphia. I believe he would work in to the defensive end rotation and try to provide more depth to a position that already consists of some great talent. With this position being as loaded as it is in this years draft, it is hard to tell if the Eagles will even get a crack at drafting Brown. I believe that they need to address other positions in the first round; however, if he were still around in the second round he could be a great addition.
