Eagles sign Peters

The Eagles have locked up Jason Peters via trade from the Buffalo Bills and signed him to a 6-year deal. Trading for Peters cost them the 28th overall pick, a fourth round pick in 2009, and a late round pick in 2010. Peters will earn $54 million in his six years playing for the Birds.
I believe this is a great addition for the Eagles and I’m glad to see them finally make a big move. Peters is a proven talent and is still relatively young. Trading for Peters means the Eagles won’t have to spend a first round pick on an offensive tackle who has not proven anything in the NFL yet.
