After the game Thursday night, Donovan McNabb commented that he thought Michael Vick entering and exiting the game disrupted the offensive rhythm. I fully agree with this statement and made a comment to someone about it while it was taking place. It seemed as though the team was more focused on getting Vick into the game and trying out some different formations against an opposing defense rather than trying to get first downs and move the football.
I’m glad they got to see this first hand and will probably make sure no rhythm is disrupted during games in the regular season. It may be more effective to leave Vick in for a few plays til a first down is obtained or something like that. Having him come in on random second down situations isn’t going to do the job.
Hopefully the Eagles will get things straightened out and figure out how to utilize Vick the best.
