Donovan McNabb had a press conference today where he spoke about the situation from Thursday with Michael Vick and the overall status of the Eagles offense. He had made comments after the game Thursday about the rhythm of the offense being off with Vick entering and exiting the game. After these comments many people started beliving that there was going to be a problem here and that Donovan wasn’t happy. However, Donovan was very convincing in his press conference with his feelings towards Vick. He said that he likes having Vick on the team and that he thinks the team should be even better with Vick. There appear to be no hard feelings and it seems Donovan just wants to win. No one really egged this conversation on to hard and it seems as though everything should be fine.
Donovan was also asked about Jeremy Maclin and his development. He said that he believed that if Maclin had to come in and start a game early into the season that he feels hes ready.
The wide receiver situation was also discussed. Donovan said that the coaches are going to have a tough decision when they make their cuts.
The reporters started getting on Donovan about the status of Kevin Curtis and his lack of catches so far this preseason. Donovan said he was happy with what Curtis was doing and you couldn’t just look at his amount of catches in the preseason. He commented that Curtis catches a lot of balls of practice and that he has no worries about the situation.
