Eagles and Patriots destined for trade?

After mentioning that the Eagles may want to trade AJ Feeley away, ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the Eagles might look for a tight end in return. This flip flop may come with the New England Patriots who have a bunch of tight ends on their roster.

The Patriots are one of the teams who are reportedly showing interest in AJ Feely and I can’t blame them. They were able to see first hand what he’s capable of as he went 18/24 with 211 passing yards and a touchdown when playing them in the preseason. During the game, the Eagles were also able to keep their eyes on the tight ends lining up for the Patriots. Ben Watson and Alex Smith are two possible trade options from New England’s end. Both have good hands and may be better options then some of the other tight ends currently on the Birds roster.

The Eagles are hoping to get a decision on Vick ASAP so that they can really make moves on sceanrios like these.
