You know the regular season is upon us when it is a Wednesday and we are looking forward to the afternoon press conferences. Today, Andy Reid, Donovan McNabb, and Brian Westbrook will talk to the media around lunch time. It will be interesting to see what type of questions are asked as well as the attitude of Big Red and the players just a few days before the regular season opener.
I feel Brian Westbrook’s whole press conference will be surrounded on how he feels coming off the surgeries and if he thinks he can stay healthy.
Donovan will probably be asked how he feels with the fact that the offensive line that will start Sunday really hasn’t played much together. He will also probably be asked if he trusts Jason Peters protecting his blind side while Julius Peppers is trying to rip his head off. I’m sure he will say he is confident Peters will do a good job but you know he’s got to be pretty nervous about that.
With no defensive coaches or players represented today, I’d like to see the media focus on talking to Andy about the defense. Although he’s already talked about how he will be starting Omar Gaither and Macho Harris, I believe the media will dive deeper into that subject.
If you are interested in watching the press conference, you can tune in live to the Eagles website starting at 11.
