Kevin Kolb named NFC offensive player of the week

For his stellar performance Sunday against the Chiefs, Kevin Kolb is being named the NFC player of the week. This is quite an honor for a guy who was only making his second career NFL start.
It looks as though Kolb will be out of the spotlight as quickly as he was put in it. Donovan McNabb is projected to make his return after the bye week. However, Kolb has showed that he is ready to perform in this league. With the slew of quarterbacks the Eagles have right now, it will be interesting to see what they do with Kolb. Is he the quarterback of the future or has he just proven he has solid trade value? Only time will tell.
