Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook were able to use the Bye Week to let their bodies heal and returned to the practice field today.
After missing the team’s game with the Chiefs, it seems as though both players are on track to make their returns against Tampa Bay this Sunday. It seems evident that McNabb will at least dress due to the release of Jeff Garcia; however, it is well believed that he will be starting again come Sunday. Kevin Kolb performed great in his absence, but you know McNabb is dying to get back out on the field with his teammates.
Westbrook was a game-time decision against the Chiefs and was made inactive for the game. Given the week off, I’m sure he will be able to go come Sunday. I hope that the Eagles try to ease him back into playing and take some of his load off with LeSean McCoy.
Also, Jeremiah Trotter practiced with the team today and split first team reps with Omar Gaither.
