Must win game for the Eagles

I was reading GCobb’s article on how the Eagles can’t afford to lose this game, and I must say I agree with this.

It is still early in the season but this is a game the Eagles really need to win. They’ve been dealing with a lot of poor teams and have entered the part of their schedule where they are transitioning into playing harder teams. Washington isn’t a great team but it is a division opponent so it is especially important to get a win here.

Last week’s effort against Oakland was atrocious and made many question the abilities of the team. A win will serve as some sort of redemption. Andy Reid and his coaching staff need to call a much better game than last week, and the players need to execute at a much higher level. They need to come out and put points on the board early and then maintain the lead.

No one wants to see a repeat of last week and a nice win will help to put it out of our memory.
