Most likely. Everyone is hearing about Vick leaving, but honestly, how will that affect us at all? I mean, the man has taken 18 snaps all season. I say, the best path for Vick is for him to leave. In Philly he is sitting on the bench, only coming in 1-4 times a game. In Buffalo, he would probably be starting by now (and being paid .5 million more dollars.)
It is obvious that Buffalo is struggling. At 3-5 (2 of the wins came from beating teams with 5 or more losses), it seems they just can’t find the missing piece. Is it possible that they now have? You could argue both ways. One reason the Bills may be doing so poorly is their offensive line. They have allowed 23 sacks this season, the 6th most in the NFL. I believe adding #7 to the roster will help that statistic out. Vick has the ability to move around in the pocket and maybe shed some would-be sacks. He also has the speed to get out of the pocket and make plays.
One thing that will be very interesting is how Vick will get along with T.O. My guess is that they will get along just perfect because they both have that punkish attitude. Also, how will he affect Owens? Owens only has 1 receiving touchdown this season; maybe having a new QB would be best for him.
All we are using Vick for is the Wildcat formation. But, he says “I won’t be a Wildcat guy. I can’t. It’s a different style of play. It’s almost like a hit-or-miss type of thing. My position is quarterback. That’s what I was born to do.” So now I know what you are saying… “No more Wildcat!?!” Well, the answer is yes we still will have the option of using Wildcat. In fact, I think that it will improve our Wildcat success. All we will be doing is switching out Vick and putting in McCoy. I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather see the ball in McCoy’s hands.
Now I’m going to ask you, what do you think Vick should do? Do you see any potential for him in Philadelphia? In Buffalo? Give me some of your thoughts.
