Eagles Come Back to Win 27-24 Against the ‘Skins

The Eagles opened the game with a risky call to attempt to recover an onsides kick. Not exactly sure what Andy was thinking but the Eagles failed miserably which led to an early Redskins touchdown. With this questionable decision by “Big Red”, it gave the Redskins all the confidence in the world that they could stay in the game with the Eagles. This game played out like many NFC East games do. It was a hard fought game that game down to the wire. The Eagles offense stepped up when it needed to in the fourth quarter to get the job done. However, the offense was inconsistent all day, especially when D-Jax left the game with a head injury. Let’s pray that it is nothing serious. The defense allowed way too many third down conversions and they must step up their effort in these key situations.
With that being said it is a wonder how the Eagles came back to win this game. They must still work on their short yardage situations. This win was huge to stay in contention for the division, with the Cowboys winning on Thanksgiving. You have to give McNabb credit for coming back to win the game. It was an ugly win which has become the norm for this team. But again any win you can get is huge, especially during this time of year. The Eagle improve to a record of 7-4.
