Eagles Jackson and Celek to host Jan. 4 benefit for Philadelphia Police Foundation
WHAT
Thanks for Keeping Philly Safe Night
Philadelphia police officers and the citizens they protect are invited to join Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey and Eagles’ wide receiver DeSean Jackson and Eagles’ tight end Brent Celek for a night honoring the men and women who keep Philadelphia safe.
WHERE/WHEN
Live from the aloft Philadelphia Airport Hotel starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4. (4101 Island Ave, Phila)
WHY
Aloft Philadelphia Airport Hotel is honoring law enforcement men and women who, every day, risk their lives to keep us safe. Who better than Commissioner Ramsey, a 40-year police veteran – who leads a police department of 6,700 sworn members and 830 civilian members – to lead in the celebration. Under Commissioner Ramsey’s leadership, the city of Philadelphia has seen a dramatic drop in the number of homicides. Thanks for Keeping Philly Safe celebrates the continuation of the police department’s great work in 2010 and beyond. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit nonprofit organization The Philadelphia Police Foundation.
