Eagles record yet another solid December

Since 2000, the Eagles are now 31-11 (.738) in the month of December. There’s no exact reason you can point to for this but it is a very nice statistic to have on your side. This is only the second time they’ve gone perfect in December during the decade, and it has pushed them to be in a position many probably didn’t think they’d be in earlier this season.
With the a perfect December, the Eagles now have a chance to take the second seed in the NFC which would result in a first round bye and a home game for the Eagles in the second round. The Eagles control their own destiny and will clinch that seed with a win against the Cowboys on Sunday (unfortunately it will no longer be December at that time).
All of this was pretty hard to imagine when the Eagles fell to 5-4 after losing two straight games. However, the team remained focused and has now ripped off six wins in a row. They are getting hot at the right time and with a win against Dallas, should take a full head of steam going into the playoffs.
