The day is finally upon us and we will soon see some new faces added to the Eagles roster. Some will make the team, some will be cut before the season starts. Hopefully, some will find themselves as starters on opening day and others will find themselves getting significant playing time. Howie Roseman has said that he is looking to draft guys who can come in and immediately compete for a starting spot. It looks like a team that is already young, may get a little bit younger.
Just as a final recap, these are the picks the Eagles scheduled to make in this years draft:
As you can see, the Eagles are scheduled to pick late in the first round tonight but I don’t think the odds of them staying there are very likely. Also, they’re sscheduled to have four picks on Friday as it stands right now. I don’t think that’s very likely either (or at least having having four picks in the spots they’re supposed to right now).
I think there is a general concensus that the Eagles will trade up at some point in the first round. The big mystery is where. There’s rumors of them trading up in the 5-8 range, 10-12 range, or possibly into the late teens. All of these moves will cost their first round selection and then a various amount of other draft picks.
I’m very excited to see what the Eagles do tonight and I hope they don’t disappoint. There’s been so much talk about them making a big splash so I can’t wait to see if it finally happens.
Do you have any last minute draft predictions?
