In this week’s podcast we start by talking a little bit about the glorified preseason game against the Cowboys last week. The Eagles rested a lot of starters. That wasn’t a big surprise for many players but there were a few players we expected to play that didn’t. There are high expectations for Kurt Coleman and Jamar Chaney in the postseason and it seemed like Week 17 would be a good time to get them more reps. However, both players were rested and will enter their first postseason as defensive starters.
After spending a bit of time on the Dallas game, we move on to the Eagles Wild Card matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
We spend some time reflecting the first matchup between the two teams and what the Eagles did well. We also look at some players that were involved in that game that won’t be involved this Sunday.
Most of our time is spent talking about the key matchups on both the offensive side of the ball. We look at how Michael Vick will fair this time around as he plays all four quarters as well as what the team needs to do to protect him from Clay Matthews.
Defensively, we put a lot of emphasis on the secondary as they will see a good quarterback in Aaron Rodgers who has a talented group of receivers to throw to.
As always, we end by fielding some questions from the fans and giving our prediction on the final outcome of the game. Enjoy!
