According to 6 ABC news, DeSean Jackson will end his holdout starting tomorrow and report to Eagles training camp. DeSean and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus have been seeking more money for the star wide receiver.
The Eagles have said that they will not address the situation until Jackson reports to camp, and hopefully they’ll have a quick solution.
At training camp today, Nnamdi Asomugha was introduced and received a standing ovation. Also, new offensive lineman Evan Mathis was introduced. He should provide depth along the offensive line and allow pieces to move around.
Today was the start of live hitting in training camp today. They did these offensive line against defensive line drills and the biggest standouts were starting left tackle Jason Peters, starting defensive tackle Antonio Dixon, and newcoming defensive end from the Canadian Football League, Phillip Hunt.
In the receiving and coverage drills, Jamar Chaney looked impressive covering tight ends and running backs, while Sinorice Moss impressed on the receiving end. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had an impressive knock down which drew a huge cheer from the crowd.
Around the League:
The Eagles lost out on a couple marquee free agents today, such as Plaxico Burress who signed with the Jets, Barrett Ruud who signed with the titans, Stephen Tulloch who signed with the Lions, and Nick Barnett who signed with the Bills.
Also, Lofa Tatupu was released by the Seattle Seahawks today, so the Eagles may have interest in the veteran middle linebacker.
