Michael Vick has agreed to a six year, $100 million deal to continue to play with the Philadelphia Eagles per Andrew Brandt via twitter. Vick will earn $16.7 mil per year since the contract is not fully backloaded, but will make less than he would have on the franchise tag for the first two years. In 2011 he will make $14.4 mil instead of the 16.7 he was due to make.
$40 million dollars was guarantied.
Michael Vick has done a terrific job since taking over as starting quarterback for Kevin Kolb last year after Kolb suffered a concussion. Vick was considered for MVP honors.
