Let me preface this whole piece by saying that I’ve never been this upset by an Eagles loss in a long time. Last week was the kind of game that I could have seen the Eagles losing and I wouldn’t have been super upset. This game is the opposite.
I’ve spoken to people on the Giants side who expected this game to be a huge blowout for the Eagles.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way that many people expected. After looking like they would struggle in the first quarter, the Eagles bounced back and looked more like the “Dream Team.”
However, after looking like they would head into the win column, things started to fall apart for the Eagles.
Michael Vick suffered a broken hand injury, bringing in Mike Kafka who was not able to take the offense into any type of positive direction for the most part.
The defense was never able to step up and make a play that would help the team win, and the Eagles fell to the Giants 29-16.
