Looking forward to Chip Kelly’s first full offseason, there are a lot of questions to answer. Most importantly, when are they going to make the full switch to the classic Kelly Green jerseys? One of the first orders of business is deciding which of the Eagles players heading to free agency need to be resigned to a new deal.
Howie Roseman has done a great job managing this team thus far, but that’s not going to stop me from putting in my nearly untarnished expert opinion.
Mike has been through the highs and lows with the rest of the Eagles faithful. Sure it wasn’t always pretty, but don’t for a second tell me he wasn’t as electrifying as Dwayne Johnson laying the Smack’eth down. I believe Nick is our guy going forward and Mike deserves his shot somewhere else, so it’s best for both parties if we part our separate ways. Good luck Mike you were one of the good ones (minus going to jail and what not). Deuces!
COOOOPPP!!! The great receiver conundrum that is the Philadelphia Eagles. If you told me Cooper was 6-4 I think I’d tune you out for the rest of what would be a very short conversation. Honestly, I don’t think as a receiver he plays anywhere near his height, just big for nothing. As badly as we need a big possession receiver, Cooper still had a solid year hauling in a career high in catches. He blocks very well down field and seems to have a great connection with Nick. Make it Rain!
Maclin just picked the wrong time to tear his ACL for the second time. The only way I see us keeping hobbles here is if he’s willing to take a home town discount. I know he is proven and can play if he’s healthy, but the less receivers we have under six feet the better. Deuces!
6-5, 310 pounds, and started all 16 games this year. Had an above average stat line and constantly demanded double teams which freed up DeMeco Ryans to have a career year. Make it Rain!
Constantly hear that Phil has a great motor. That just means you’re small. Rudy also had a great motor, but I wouldn’t let him sniff the field. Phil is just too small and not even close to being the kind of player built for a 3-4 defense. Like a baseball player with warning track power, Phil needs to hit the weights. Deuces!
Not too shabby Coleman, not too shabby. Played much better than expected and since we really cant afford to lose an experienced safety in our no fly zone defense, need him back. Make it Rain!
I wouldn’t pay you one Stanley Nickel… Next! Deuces!
Allen?…Allen?…I called your name didn’t I??? Oh… Well better luck next year. Just watched you blow coverage and miss tackles about 1,000 times too many. Thanks for your four years of service, you probably know where the door is. Deuces!
As much as I would like King Kong here (6-8 and 345 pounds) to play on the d-line, I just don’t see it happening. He couldn’t get on the field enough and didn’t show enough while on it. Dueces!
Will you be accepting your payment in check or cash Mr Jones? Make it Rain!
