Howard Bryant of ESPN has written an article on the return of Michael Vick that is now being featured on the site’s front page.

The story talks about how Vick will finally get to return to the field in a regular season game for the first time since he spent his time in prison. Those who have wondered if Vick has lost anything since leaving the game in 2006 will find out for sure on Sunday. Andy Reid said that Vick will not be playing quarterback but will be spending time on the field. This means that Vick will be lining up in the wildcat formation on Sunday, trying to make some plays for the Eagles.

Bryant made a good point by noting that all three players who took snaps out of the wildcat on Sunday are not real threats when it comes to throwing the ball. Vick can make as many plays with his arm as he can with his legs. The only question mark I see here is that Vick has not had a lot of time throwing the ball in live game situations and we may seem some rust out of the gate. Another thing I noticed in the preseaon with Vick was that he seemed hesitant to keep the ball himself. I don’t know if this was because he didn’t want his teammates to think he couldn’t share the ball or if those were just his reads.

Come Sunday we will see Vick and we will soon find out if he is worth the hassle. I hope that he comes out on the first series and starts to wreak havoc and continues it the whole game.

How well do you think Michael Vick will play on Sunday?

Below is the link to Philadelphia’s turn on the ESPN mini-series On the Clock. This segment goes through the draft and looks at each teams needs for the upcoming NFL Draft. The analysts include: Chris Mortensen, Mel Kiper Jr. and Trent Dilfer.

On the Clock: Philadelphia Eagles

A lot of options are discussed in this segment and it is really hard to determine what the Eagles will end up doing. As far as trades go you have to have an agreement on both sides. So if the Eagles are going to try to trade up for Crabtree they will need to put together an appealing package for probably either Cincinnati, Oakland, or Jacksonville. Personally, I don’t think Crabtree will make it past Oakland’s pick. The Birds could also try to possibly put a package together to trade up in the middle of the round and go after Jeremy Maclin if he starts to fall. The possibility of getting Boldin will lurk all the way up to the 21st pick. I won’t be disappointed if no trades are done as I think they can get two solid players with the first round picks they have now.
